Real Wedding Story: Roxy & Taras – A Love 12 Years in the Making

Some love stories begin with fireworks. Others grow slowly, steadily — like Roxy and Taras’.

They first met over 12 years ago. For the first four years, they were “just friends” — Roxy in Lviv, Taras in Ivano-Frankivsk — but always in touch. Movie nights, endless conversations, and a bond that kept growing stronger over time.

It wasn’t until 2017 that they officially became a couple. And from that moment on, everything changed.

Their journey together has been filled with milestones:
– Nearly 10 countries visited together
– A home built together
– A beloved dog welcomed into the family
– And, in 2021, a heartfelt engagement

The wedding was set for June 18, 2022. But history had other plans. Like many Ukrainian couples, they had to pause their celebration due to the full-scale invasion. Although they officially signed their marriage documents in 2022, the real celebration — the one with laughter, music, and the people they love — was postponed.

Until now.

In 2025, Roxy and Taras finally brought their vision to life. A celebration not just of love, but of resilience, time, and choosing each other again and again — even when life takes unexpected turns.
